so, i'm on my first day of vacation, currently heading down to san diego... pretty sure we'll get as far as sacramento today. i'm currently at kalama, wa beside the columbia river

i'll be away from home for about a week or so... i have a mixture of anticipation and… i dunno, uncertainty about it all? it'll be fun... probably. i paid for tickets to Knott's Berry Farm so that'll be cool!!!

yesterday I watched the USA vs Australia world cup game in my own home city -- of course I watched it on the TV but MAN was it a riveting game. i really was on the edge of my seat and the crowd atmosphere just from the TV was something else. i'm excited for how the rest of the Cup is gonna turn out. Just got to Battle Ground WA

i'll try to keep a good log of the vacation, decompress in the hotel room. Like… Jenna from Echo VN when she does her HW in the Echo Motel

yeah I'll stop writing now… (after this, several hours passed)

we made it to Sacramento on Saturday. Started driving 6:37AM and finished around 7PM or so. at Grants Pass I tried In-N-Out and honestly? i wasn't impressed that much; the burgers are simply solid, and that's about it. Fries suck. the burgers are just... well, they're good... but I've had burgers from independent joints that are equally as good locally and at the same price. It doesn't really impress me.

now… after a longer mind-numbing drive from seattle to Sacramento? we finally got to the hotel and got some nice tacos from a nearby spot… then watched tunisia versus japan!!!

this is my second day of vacation, currently passing by Bakersfield California. i drove for a while when we switched drivers, passing some trucks and keeping up just fine. sacramento was nice, the weather has been pretty good so far and the hotel was alright

Hotel beds always seem to make my back sore but overall? It was adequate and the shower was nice. It's hard to accomplish much in terms of writing stuff while in the car but I'm trying

The fuzzy radar! (also known as Barq) it's been funny to use that throughout passing oregon and california. liking people's profiles... in the middle of nowhere, I've made mutuals with quite a few people and had someone even dm me soo… I wonder how that'll pan out?

6/21!1!

We left Sacramento early in the morning and ended up in the middle of nowhere…

we passed by pyramid lake which was very cool to see, I couldn't really spot the dam but it's there somewhere… I like dams a lot, they're very cool to look at!!1! One day I'd totally like to see hoover dam

we'd soon make it to LA, it wouldn't be the last time we'd pass through. Had some pizza, passed through some bad smoke from the 2026 Boyle Heights warehouse fire

ended the day at Chula Vista in San Diego!!1!!

USS Midway was today's exploration and it was amazing!!!!1! there was so muuuuch to see!!

anyway!!! my fav plane I got to see was actually a helicopter -- it's called the uh-1 huey. it's such a classic helicopter... and i loved flying them in games!!11

This day we went to Balboa Park which was honestly one of my favorite things about this trip!!1!

one of the coolest things here aside from just generally the feel of the park was probably the wooden lath house (which was built in 1915!!!!)

I walked in just when they opened it that day and there was this really fine mist from watering the plants, it was suuuuuuuper peaceful :3
